Amazon Biker Short Round Up

Before quarantine hit you could have probably counted the number of times I worked out in shorts on one hand, but since sweating it out in my apartment full time, my leggings collection has been gathering dust and I have embraced the biker short trend full throttle!

I have to admit, I am a recovering Lululemon addict and used to spend a small fortune at that glorious store every year, but I'm not sure if it was the quality of their product changing or me just realizing I'd rather spend my monies elsewhere that drove me to explore some other athletic brands, especially ones that delivered quality for a much better price tag!

Amazon has been my new favorite go to place when searching for new gym apparel and I have rounded up my top 4 favorite biker shorts to share with you today. Lucky for us and our wallets, all of these shorts are under $25, non see through and offer great quality, so let's dive in!

First up are these adorable leopard shorts from Persit. They come in 5 fun prints, offer 2 hidden pockets (on in the front and one in the back for keys, lipbalm, etc.) and are of course high waisted. They are definitely not see through and offer great coverage with moisture wicking, super soft fabric. I got a size Small and have to say, the only thing I don't love about them is that they are a bit longer than I prefer my shorts to be (they claim to be a 5 inch inseam, but I have other 5 inch shorts and these are definitely a longer than those). Furthermore, I prefer a seamless waistband and these have a seam at the top, squishing your mid section just a bit more than I usually opt for, but overall, I love these shorts and they held up great in this weeks sweaty hiit session!

Up next are these black and white jacquard shorts from The Gym People. These are also high rise biker shorts, featuring non see through, moisture wicking, quick dry, breathable fabric that come in 11 different colors, patterns and styles! Unlike the leopard shorts above, these babies have 2 deep side pockets that are truly a game changer if you ask me! The length of these is more in line with my personal preference and while they also have a seam on the top waistband, they hold up great during workouts, are super comfortable and at $19.99 per piece, what's not to love? I got a size Small in these as well, but could have also gone with a Medium for a looser fit.

Our next contender are these burgundy shorts from CRZ Yoga. The buttery soft fabric and super deep pockets on these sold me at first try and I honestly can't recommend this brand enough. I have a pair of their leggings as well and absolutely love them! The only thing to note about the CRZ Yoga brand is that their shorts run small, so definitely order a size up from your normal selection. I went with a size Medium and look forward to wearing them every time they come out of the wash. Length wise, they also promote a 5 inch inseam and they are in between the leopard and the burgundy options we previously discussed (funny how the same inseam can be so different between brands). With a top elastic closure, an $18.00-$22.00 price tag and 5 colors to pick from, these are a great alternative to the more expensive Lululemon pieces. If they go out of stock on Amazon, you can always check their brand website or give it a few days as they restock frequently.

My last Amazon biker short suggestion is from the brand 90 Degree by Reflex and these actually come in quite a few lengths and colors, so be sure to double check your selection when ordering. I got the navy blue 5 inch inseam option in a size Medium (could have also gone with a Small for a tighter more compressioned fit) and have to say, I am continually impressed by the quality $24.99 shorts offer when their mall counter parts run you around $75-$100! This style also features handy side pockets and a soft four way stretch material, making them the perfect companion for a leisurely walk, sweaty workout or relaxing yoga session. Overall, the reviews on these are definitely not wrong and I am pumped to see how long these last me.

As you can see, I am totally blown away by the Amazon selection in the shorts department and while having a pair of genuine Lulus in your closet may sound appealing, you really don't need to spend the cash to get the same quality these days, which is a huge plus in my book!
