March Favorites

Every month I like to round up some of my favorite things and share them with you all, in case you need ideas of what to watch, eat, spend your money on etc, so here goes my list of March favorites!

The Sleepover Movie

Liz, Rio and I needed a movie to watch for pizza night this week and stumbled upon The Sleepover on Netflix and you guys….this might be the funniest movie I’ve watched in a very long time! My cheeks were hurting from laughing so much and Liz and I can’t stop quoting all the amazing one liners in this flick. If you need a family friendly, super funny movie to watch, I can’t recommend this one enough.

I was a bit skeptical when ordering this because to be perfectly honest, I was not a fan of any other Tula product I have tried and definitely think this is one of those brands that is over posted about if you know what I mean. Anyway, when OVC had a killer deal on this earlier this month, I pulled the trigger and have to say I use it almost every day. I am not one to use makeup on a daily basis by any means, but love that this provides moisture while also evening out your skin tone in the process. I did learn via trial and error that a little goes a long way and if you use too much you look rather orange 😊 I like to apply this after sunscreen (getting to my new favorite in a sec) and I can look somewhat put together and ready in a matter of minutes without feeling like I’m wearing a ton of makeup, which I love!

I saw my friend @heratlas (check out my Instagram Beyond Fitness blog post to learn all about this incredible account) rave about this sunscreen from Japan and knew I had to try it! I was able to get it on Amazon for under $15 and have to say, I love it! It goes on super smooth and dries with a silky soft finish. The coolest part is that it also “brings out your skin’s translucency” (no idea how it does that), but I definitely feel like I have a healthy glow after applying it, plus it’s SPF 50 which this Swiss girl needs.

Dunkin Donuts Iced Almond Milk Latte

If you’ve been following along on Instagram stories, this should come as no surprise at all 😊 I have no idea what took me so long to jump on the Dunkin bandwagon, but oh man, I am not leaving anytime soon! I love getting a large iced almond milk latte for a treat when I have a long drive ahead of me and just can’t get enough of the sweet, not too coffee-y taste. Have you tried it yet?

When Rio and I went to wash the duvet cover on our bed, we noticed that Liz uses these handy little duvet clips to anchor the duvet onto the duvet cover and we both thought that was genius! Sooner or later our duvet always slips down inside the cover and these little handy clips totally solve that issue! Brilliant I tell ya!

My original white apple watch band is not quite as white anymore, but when I checked Apple for a new one I couldn’t believe how expensive they were. Thankfully I found this dupe on Amazon and have been super happy with them thus far. They are a bit thinner than the actual Apple ones, but that doesn’t bother me and they work great.

This one deserves it’s own blog post, but for the sake of rounding up my March favorites I couldn’t not include it. I got my Terra Core a couple weeks ago and if you’ve been watching my stories, you’ll know I absolutely love this thing! If you haven’t seen it, it’s basically a rectangular bosu ball with handles on one side and a plastic bubble on the other. Unlike a regular bosu ball, this thing also offers band loops on one side, allowing you to loop your bands through them for a solid anchor point when doing things like chest press, curls, etc.. Furthermore, you can also use the handles to pick it up for presses, rows, etc, making this so much more versatile than a traditional bosu ball. I mentioned it on my stories, but if you don’t have a bench or bosu ball, you might want to look into this baby! Check my Terra Core highlight for more info and use code JASMINE25 for 25% off.

You guys know, I am horrible at drinking plain water and am always on the hunt for things I can add to my water bottle to help me drink more. I have tried the peach lemonade from this brand in the past and loved it, but after finding Tangerine Mango at my local grocery store, I may never use anything else. This favor is by far my favorite!

Speaking of drinking more water, the other product that I’ve been loving lately is Everly’s peach mango hydration powder. I was sent this for free via Instagram a couple weeks ago and will definitely reorder as soon as I run low. Everly offers 100mg of hydrating electrolytes with 0 calories and only 1g net carbs, plus it tastes amazing and definitely makes me drink more than I otherwise would have.

This is anther gym product that I just got this week that deserves its own post, but I figured, why the heck not share my initial impressions with you now and follow up with a thorough update later, right? I ordered these in November, using a significant chunk of my Birthday and Christmas monies for them, because, girl, these ain’t cheap to say the least and just finally got them in the mail late March! They took FOREVER to ship and with my change of address from San Diego to Temecula, you can imagine what a hot mess this was with FedEx.

Anyway, so far, they are worth every penny in my opinion! Sure they are bulkier than regular dumbbells, but honestly that doesn’t really bother me and I am just so thankful to finally have heavier and more varied weights to use. I was most excited about the option to use 12.5, 17.5, 25 and 45, but have found myself using them for pretty much every movement that calls for dumbbells because I’m so excited to finally have them in my possession. They are super easy to adjust and increase in 2.5lb increments from 5-25 and then in 5lb increments from 25-52.5. I will definitely do a more thorough review once I’ve had a chance to use them for a while, but initial impressions are awesome!

I have been a loyal L’Oreal Lash Paradise customer for many, many years but when I saw several bloggers rave about the new Maybelline Sky High Mascara I got suckered in and gave it a try and I have to say, WOW! Whereas the L’Oreal brush is thicker and has more bristles, the Maybelline version offers a thinner brush with distinct plastic bristles, which allowed me to get my usual look in just one coat. I didn’t use a primer or anything and was super impressed with the look I got using much less product than I normally would. Once your current mascara runs out, maybe give this one a try, although you might have to order it on Amazon, because every Target and CVS I checked was sold out on numerous occasions.

These are soooooo bomb! If you love sour patch kids, you’ll love this jelly bean version, trust me!

This is a trainer I discovered through Juli @paleomg and I have been loving trying some of his creative workout moves throughout the week. I love adding some of his accessory work to leg, back and upper body day and am always challenged by his ideas. If you try one of his moves and tag him on your Instagram story, he will likely respond and give you some form feedback, which has been so awesome! If you want to get creative with some new movements, this is the account I recommend.

Another Instagram thing I got suckered into that I don't regret one single bit. I was able to snag these bras when they were on major sale and have to say they are now my most comfortable option. They run true to size and are incredibly soft and flattering even when worn under a tight shirt. I also tried their Enbliss Thongs but ended up returning them as I felt like they hugged my hips too tightly and made an unwanted bulge which wasn't flattering. The bras though, HIGHLY recommend!
